NVIDIA likes to use the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to announce new flagship mobile processors called the Tegra X1. The newest member of the Tegra family is all new – new GPU, new CPUs, new video support, a new semiconductor process, and optimized for new markets. The new GPU is “Maxwell” which was introduced in the high end GeForce GTX 980 discrete graphics only four months ago. The Tegra X1’s ne CPU complex is ARM’s big:LITTLE with four Cortex-A57 CPUs and four Cortex-A53 CPUs.
